Books delivered promptly and well packaged. The price is premium compared to other retailers (yes I'm talking about Amazon - I prefer not to spend my money there and can afford an extra 10-25% for a better option but it does concern me that this will put off other shoppers) but the service is comparable and ethical shopping is a growing market I think.
Wow what a speedy delivery came within 2 days of ordering even after ordering it at the weekend and great condition the book arrived in. I'd definitely buy from them again if there were books that took my fancy even though I've got a mini library of my own at home.

It should be 4.5 stars.
My first order from Bookshop.org was easy and straight forward and the delivery was quick.
Alas, one of the two books was damaged but once I'd found what to do(this lost the star) if there is a problem with your order it was very easy to resolve the issue. Very quickly I received a response and they arranged to send me another copy (which arrived the next day in pristine condition) and even let me keep the damaged book.
It would have been five stars if there was an easy to find FAQ page, doesn't seem to exist, as that would probably be my first place to check for dealing with problems rather than the About page.
Happy with the quality of the books and delivery. Have to say,however, that the choice of children's books is depressingly 'issue ' heavy. Everyone has an agenda. Where are the straightforward adventure stories?
This was the first time I had used this service to buy books. The books I ordered were delivered very promptly. I was glad that my purchase raised funds for independent booksellers. I would have liked to buy directly from one but wasn't given the option - or was it that the books I wanted weren't held by any (they were not new publications).
